1000 things to do in London

I’ve recently moved to London for an MA course in Broadcast Journalism at City University. In my spare time I love doing things that are a bit different and am always one for a bargain. So to combine my hobbies and my new home I’ve invested in a great book: TimeOut’s ’1000 things to do in London under £10′. To take this blog in a slightly new direction, the plan is to eat at the restaurants, visit the galleries, take part in the taster sessions and attend as many of the festivals detailed in the book as possible and tell you guys what I thought. There’ll also be some general London observations and comment, from a tourist turned resident. I’m hoping to do things in the same vein as the Oscar nominated 2009 film Julie and Julia, where Julie Powell (Amy Adams) cooks her way through Julia Child’s (Meryl Streep) seminal French Cookery book and blogs about it.
